The Granary self-catering cottage is in open countryside between the villages of High Ireby and Uldale in the north region of the Lake District.
Leave M6 at junction 40 and take A66 towards Keswick. Stay on this road until you reach the large Crosthwaite roundabout at Keswick and take the A591, signposted Carlisle. After 6.5 miles, turn off on the right, opposite the Castle Inn, signposted 'Uldale, Ireby, Caldbeck'. Continue uphill for 2 miles. Turn left at signpost for Ireby. After 1.25 miles, turn sharp right on S bend into Ruthwaite, signposted on right. Road Farm, the owner's home, is approximately 40 yards on the right. Park in Road Farm car park. The Granary is situated a few yards further down on the right, up a 'green lane'.
A warm welcome awaits visitors by the friendly, caring owner who is on site to help if needed.
There is parking for one car in the owner's car park. An extra car may park on the road but space is limited, or on the green, approximately 50-60 metres from the property but would not be within sight.
